Sometimes a child is identified as having special educational needs, either because of a learning difficulty or an exceptional ability. In such a case the Special Educational Needs co-ordinator would plan an appropriate Individual Educational Program with the class teacher and parent or carer. These programs follow the requirements of the new Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs and are monitored and reviewed every term. The school always works closely with special outside agencies when necessary to support the child’s learning.

We consider the best for all our pupils and are willing to make reasonable adjustments to support individual needs of our pupils. We strive to ensure our children develop positive attitudes towards themselves and others. With our family ethos we build an atmosphere of mutual respect.

The School has a disability discrimination scheme and has reviewed its equality policy. In light of this the school is updating its accessibility action plan. All these documents are available on request.
