Our Aims

At Meadowcroft School we aim to provide a caring, secure, purposeful and stimulating learning environment, where children are valued as individuals.

The school provides an environment which enables children to gain confidence, to make decisions, to become independent, self disciplined and motivated to learn.

Working in partnership with parents, staff and governors we aim for each child to:
•Become intellectually and emotionally independent and confident.
•Develop positive attitudes towards learning and achievement.
•Experience a broad and balanced curriculum with successes.
•Develop imagination, sensitivity and creativity.
•Develop physically, socially, spiritually and morally.
•Become responsible and respectful of self, others and their environment.
•Develop the skills to embrace learning throughout their lives
Whilst at Meadowcroft School our children enjoy a wide range of learning opportunities and experiences. Through these they are able to:
•Develop enquiring minds, the ability to question and apply themselves to every task.
•Acquire a high standard in skills of numeracy and literacy, taking into account their individual needs.
•Express themselves creatively and imaginatively using the arts.
•Become confident in their own abilities as independent learners.
•Develop a sense of belonging.
•Respect moral and religious values and tolerance for all creeds and cultures.
Through the understanding of staff, governors and parents in the overall policies and aims of the school, Meadowcroft School is a good choice for young children.
